The biggest question on everyone’s mind… pain. Is it really as bad as people say?
There is no beating around the bush, it definitely hurts. Luckily treatments typically only take a couple of minutes so the pain is short lived!
With the use of our Zimmer Air Cooler the discomfort can be significantly reduced. The Zimmer blows -30 degree air on the area. This chilling effect helps to reduce discomfort during and after the treatment, minimise swelling and thermal injury to the skin.
In most cases, a test patch is done prior to doing a full treatment. This allows the patient to gauge how comfortable they are during the treatment. If you still need extra pain relief, numbing cream can be applied to reduce discomfort even further!
Can we remove all colours?
Yep! With the use of our Quanta Q Plus C-Evo’s Tri-wavelength technology, we are able to successfully treat all colours of tattoo ink.
Typically darker colours respond the quickest using the 1064nm wavelength.
Other colours are treated using the 532nm wavelength and the Q Plus C-Evo’s built in Ruby laser, which utilises the 694nm wavelength.
How many treatments will I need?
A number of factors determine how many treatments may be needed to remove a tattoo. These include the size of the tattoo, ink density, depth, colour, age, and the general well being of the patient.
Typically the average number of treatments for a professionally done tattoo is betweeen 5 and 10, while amateur tattoos will need less.
If you are wanting to lighten a tattoo prior to a cover up, 1-3 treatments are usually needed.
Can I get a new tattoo over the skin that has been lasered?
Absolutely! Previously lasered skin can be tattooed 12 weeks after your last treatment.
How much will my treatment cost?
Our treatments start at $80 – pricing is based on the size and colour of a tattoo. The full cost of your treatment will be discussed during your initial FREE consultation.
Will it scar?
Unless you are prone to keliod scarring or are reckless with your aftercare, ending up with a scar is very unlikely! Scaring as a result of getting a tattoo can actually be reduced with the use of our fractional treatment which we offer for FREE after every laser tattoo removal treatment.
Am I eligible for tattoo removal?
At Lazer Wizard we are serious about safety, so the following requirements must be met before a laser treatment can be performed.
Hypopigmentation and an ineffective treatment are common side effects of overexposure to the sun prior to treatment. So, if you’ve got a tan (including fake) you can’t be treated. We recommend a minimum of 4 weeks out of the sun before any laser treatment.
You cannot be treated if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Although there is no evidence that shows laser tattoo removal is harmful to unborn babies, we would rather not take a chance.
If you are taking any light sensitive medications like Roaccutaine, you cannot undergo a laser treatment for a minimum of 6 months after you have finished using the medication.
If you have a question that wasn’t listed above, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to answer it for you!
