About Us

Who Are We?

Lazer Wizard is a proudly family-owned and operated clinic that opened its doors for the first time in May 2017 in St Kilda before moving to Moonee Ponds after realising the need for a specialist tattoo removal service closer to home.

Meet Gav

Gav is our laser removal technician and clinic all-rounder, he is a fully trained and accredited laser technician, on the Quanta Q-Plus C Evo, and also the Picosure, even though we don’t use it. Having to go through the process of removing his own tattoos he has a first-hand understanding of the tattoo removal process. “ At Lazer Wizard clinic we understand every tattoo is different and as tattoo lovers, we too have to say goodbye to a few ourselves.”

Why Lazer Wizard?

We’ve been where you are now, and have also questioned the tattoo removal process, the most effective tattoo removal technology and the expected results. Combining our own personal experience with professional tattoo removal techniques, we set our sights on helping people achieve their goals in removing an unwanted tattoo or those who just wanted a tattoo lightened so a cover-up could be applied.

We will provide you with a highly tailored procedure plan which is unique to each client. From the initial consultation to the post-treatment care, we are here to ensure you achieve the best results possible in removing your unwanted tattoo.

Tattoo Removal Process

The human body’s natural reaction is to absorb when forgeign particles are introduced into it and get rid of them over time. When a tattoo is applied thousands of ink particles are deposited into the skin. Over time, your tattoo will slowly fade but never completely disappear on its own because the ink particles are too large.

The Laser tattoo removal process helps to break those particles of pigment down into smaller pieces so the body can easily eradicate them. The ink particles absorb the laser energy, heat up, and shatter into smaller particles.

During a tattoo removal procedure, laser light is applied to the tattooed area of the skin. This light is selectively absorbed by the tattoo ink particles, leaving the surrounding skin tissue and chromophores unharmed.

Tattoo Removal Superior Technology

We’re proud to say we use the Quanta Q-Plus C-EVO Laser System, which is capable of removing both black and multi-coloured tattoo ink. The advanced tattoo removal technology of Quanta Q-Plus C Evo’s 3 wavelength system delivers very short and concentrated pulses of energy at different wavelengths to target all colours at different depths of the skin.

Once the ink particles have started to break down, your body’s immune system will get to work and the tattoo will begin to fade.

Tattoo Removal Technique

Multiple tattoo removal treatments are typically needed to completely remove a tattoo as ink is layered into the skin. Each treatment targets a deeper layer of ink that was previously hidden by the earlier layer.

Keep in mind, your tattoo removal treatments must be spaced a minimum of 8 weeks apart. This time allows healing to take place and for the absorption and eradication of ink particles. The good news is, typically after 8 treatments your tattoo is gone!

The success of tattoo removal procedures is always dependent on not just the quality of the treatment, but how well the client has followed all after-care steps, keeping the tattoo free from the sun and avoiding smoking. Typically after 8 treatments, the tattoo is gone!
