It definitely hurts, but it is not as bad as you think. Luckily treatments typically only take a couple of minutes so the pain is short-lived!

At Lazer wizard, we try to eliminate the pain for our client as much as possible. With the use of our Zimmer Air Cooler your tattoo removal session discomfort can be significantly reduced. The Zimmer blows -30 degree air on the area. This chilling effect helps to reduce discomfort during and after your laser removal treatment, minimise swelling and thermal injury to your skin.

In most cases, a skin test patch is performed prior to your laser treatment full session. This allows the patient to gauge how comfortable they are during the treatment. If you still need extra pain relief, numbing cream can be applied to reduce discomfort even further!

The short answer is yes! With the use of our Quanta Q Plus C-Evo’s Tri-wavelength technology, we are able to successfully treat all colours of tattoo ink.

Typically darker colours respond the quickest using the 1064nm wavelength.

Other colours are treated using the 532nm wavelength and the Q Plus C-Evo’s advanced tattoo removal built-in Ruby laser, which utilises the 694nm wavelength.

A number of factors determine how many treatments may be needed to remove your tattoo. These include the size of the tattoo, ink density, depth, colour, age, and the general well being of the patient.

Typically the average number of laser treatments for a professionally done tattoo is between 5 and 10, while fresh tattoos will need more.

If you are wanting to lighten a tattoo prior to a cover up, 1-3 treatments are usually needed.

Absolutely! Previously lasered skin can be tattooed 12 weeks after your last laser treatment.

Unless you are prone to keloid scarring or are reckless with your aftercare, ending up with a scar is very unlikely! Scaring as a result of getting a tattoo can actually be reduced with the use of our fractional treatment which we offer for FREE after every laser tattoo removal treatment.

At Lazer Wizard we are serious about safety, so the following requirements must be met before a laser treatment can be performed.

Hypopigmentation and an ineffective treatment are common side effects of overexposure to the sun prior to treatment. So, if you’ve got a tan (including fake) you can’t be treated. We recommend a minimum of 4 weeks out of the sun before any laser treatment.
